La Paz’s street art is a living canvas that tells the city’s story and reflects its deep connection with the sea. These murals are more than color on walls: they are stories that bring together past and present, tradition and environmental awareness.

Since the La Paz, Ciudad Mural project began in 2017, local, Mexican and international artists have brought their work to the streets of the historic center. Inspired by the accounts of fishers and longtime residents, their murals explore South Californian identity, marine life, local traditions and the need to protect the ocean.

On a walk of approximately 3 km, we seek out some of the most memorable murals and street artworks, uncovering the stories and messages behind their colors.
