The visit begins at the Regional Museum of Anthropology and History. Its collections guide us through the peninsula’s story: its geological formation, the first Indigenous peoples and ancient Airapí, the mysterious rock paintings in the north of the state, the arrival of the Spanish and the missions, and the major events that shaped modern Mexico and the emergence of Baja California Sur.

We then continue on foot through La Paz’s historic center, discovering its landmark buildings and the traces left by different periods in the city’s history. Along the way, I share anecdotes, favorite addresses and lesser-known places, so you can discover La Paz through a local’s eyes.
