For those who have never dived, this experience offers a first introduction to scuba diving in the Sea of Cortez, with a certified instructor guiding you step by step.
We head to a calm beach near La Paz. The experience begins with an introduction to the equipment, the essential principles of diving and a few simple exercises in shallow water. The aim is to take your time getting comfortable in this new environment and gradually finding your bearings underwater.
Once you feel at ease, we explore the rocky seabed and coastal reef. Tropical fish, invertebrates and other Sea of Cortez residents become companions on your first dive.
Beyond learning the technical basics, your instructor invites you to look closely at your surroundings, recognize a few species and discover the marine ecosystem from a new perspective.
This first dive is deliberately unhurried: a chance to feel the sensation of weightlessness and open a new window onto the underwater world.
